Job Title: Test Manager Location: Hybrid – Edinburgh (2–3 days per week onsite) Type: Permanent Sector: Financial Services Overview: We are working with a financial services organisation in Edinburgh seeking an experienced Test Manager to lead and coordinate testing efforts across a large-scale platform transformation programme. This is a permanent opportunity offering a hybrid working model and the chance to work on high-impact initiatives within a regulated environment. Key Responsibilities: Own the end-to-end test strategy, planning, and execution for major platform transformation projects. Develop and maintain detailed test plans, test scripts, and test artefacts in line with project and regulatory requirements. Coordinate and manage testing activities across multiple internal teams and third-party suppliers, ensuring alignment and integration across workstreams. Lead functional, integration, system, and user acceptance testing (UAT) phases. Ensure defect tracking, reporting, and resolution processes are followed effectively. Report testing progress, risks, and issues to senior stakeholders and provide recommendations for mitigation. Ensure compliance with internal quality assurance standards and best practices. Support test automation initiatives where applicable and contribute to continuous improvement in testing processes. Key Requirements: Proven experience in test management within complex IT change programmes, ideally in the financial services sector. Demonstrable experience with platform transformation and working in multi-vendor delivery environments. Strong knowledge of the full testing lifecycle and QA methodologies. Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with third parties and internal teams. Experience in managing testing within regulated environments is highly desirable. Familiarity with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, ALM, or similar. ISTQB certification or equivalent is advantageous.
