The Role: Early Years SEN Teacher - Slough Lead a small class of high-needs pupils aged 5 with complex SEN, including Autism (ASD), Global Developmental Delay, sensory processing difficulties, and non-verbal communication needs. Teach an adapted Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum with a heavy emphasis on communication, sensory exploration, life skills, and routine. Use specialist SEN strategies such as Attention Autism, TEACCH, PECS, and Makaton to support engagement and learning. Work closely with a team of skilled Teaching Assistants, therapists, and SEN leaders to implement EHCP targets. Prioritise a calm, consistent, and low-stimulus classroom environment that supports emotional regulation and sensory needs.
