Violence and Aggression Prevention Trainer – Band 5
1 x 22.5 hrs (0.6WTE) hours per week, Permanent
Salary scale: £33,247 - £41,424 pro rata per annum
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated individuals to join the Violence & Aggression Prevention Team.
This post is open to applicants of all grades.
The Violence & Aggression Prevention Team provides training, support and advice to staff across Argyll & Bute Health & Social Care Partnership, promoting quality and safety for both patients and staff. You will work with the Violence & Aggression Prevention Advisor and the wider NHS Highland team of Advisors and Trainers.
You will deliver Violence & Aggression training and education, promoting a safe and person centred approach to practice across the HSCP contributing to the reduction of risk and severity of incidents of Violence & Aggression. You will be part of a team responsible for the day to day delivery of the Violence & Aggression and Lone Worker training. You will deliver training across the HSCP in a variety of settings to a variety of disciplines. The candidate will be required to hold a full UK driving licence.
The successful post holder will have experience of delivering care in a health / social care setting. Excellent communication skills are essential as is a good working knowledge of Microsoft office, Microsoft teams and other software. The successful candidate will require to hold a current accreditation as a Violence and Aggression trainer with the GSA, however training is available.
Please note the interviews will be held on the week of the 19th January 2026 with an expected start date of the beginning of March 2026, dependent upon qualifications of successful candidate and availability of training.
