We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Teacher of Humanities (with a preference for Sociology and/or Criminology) to join our team at Flint High School. You will possess energy, passion and a commitment to inspiring a love of Humanities in all learners. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons in line with curriculum requirements, ensuring high standards of teaching and learning are maintained, whilst working collaboratively with the wider Humanities faculty to secure and sustain excellent outcomes for all learners.
The right candidate will have:
Qualified Teacher Status or equivalent qualification
Relevant specialist qualifications and subject experience (e.g. BA/BSc Hons. degree in Sociology, Criminology or a related Humanities subject)
A strong understanding of curriculum requirements for Humanities, particularly Sociology and/or Criminology
Evidence of commitment to continuing professional development
A clear understanding of assessment methods and how to use them to support differentiated learning strategies

If shortlisted, any discrepancies, anomalies or concerns identified during the recruitment process will be discussed at interview and/or during pre-employment checks.
Where a role involves regulated activity relevant to children, applicants will be informed that it is an offence to apply if they are barred from engaging in regulated activity relevant to children.
