Job Description
Working in a hybrid style, based at home and office, you will work full time, 37 hours per week. Where the successful candidate is a current employee of a local authority, the post will be offered under the terms and conditions of Dundee City Council. Where the successful candidate is a current employee of an NHS employer, the post will be offered under the terms and conditions of NHS Tayside. In the event that the successful candidate is not currently employed by a local authority or NHS employer, they will be given the choice of the appropriate employer.

Requirements
You will be educated to degree level and/or demonstrate equivalent work experience in a senior management role within a complex and publicly accountable organisation. Completion of a recognised leadership and/or management programme or extensive experience in roles supporting management development and leadership qualities is also required.
Responsibilities
This post involves leading the operational, strategic, and professional management of a multifunctional range of services within the Health and Social Care Partnership. You will collaborate with the Head of Health & Community Care and Lead professional advisors to ensure service delivery in accordance with statutes, policies, professional standards, and external regulatory bodies.
The services cover health and social care for adults in various settings, including direct service delivery, commissioned and contracted services, and policy development. You will develop transformation plans and performance management frameworks to ensure key activities, financial targets, and change programmes are met, aligning with DHSCP strategic objectives.
You will contribute to the formulation and delivery of the Health and Social Care Strategy and change initiatives. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential for engaging with staff, the public, and stakeholders.
The Individual
You should have significant management experience, with a proven track record in staff and resource management, including budgeting, partnership working, and organisational development. Experience in strategic planning, service redesign, change management, and performance accountability is essential.
You will possess strong leadership, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to negotiate, influence, and engage effectively. Sound analytical, IT, and financial management skills are required, along with the ability to produce clear reports, meet deadlines, and manage resources efficiently.
You must be registered with the appropriate professional body and willing to work across the geographical area covered by the Health and Social Care Partnership, according to operational needs.
