Job Title: Residential Installations Engineer
Salary: Up to £30,000 - £33,000 per annum depending on experience
Location: Field Based
Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week Mondays to Saturday 08:00 to 20:00, and such additional hours as are necessary for the proper performance of your duties.

The Role:
As a Fibre Residential Installer you will be working with our operations team to install new fibre connections to residential and small business customers on our FTTP network. This will consist of using both underground and overhead methods and working on the BT PIA network. You may also be responsible for locating and rectifying customer faults.
About you:
We're looking for a skilled fibre engineer with strong customer-facing abilities, experience in XGSPON technologies, telecoms civils and cabling, and proficiency in fibre splicing, testing, and working in challenging environments—all while maintaining high standards, meeting deadlines, and ensuring accurate data capture.
Role & Responsibilities:
* Installations for both residential and small business customers
* To fit Industry standard FTTP installations
* Ability to find and correct faults on an XGSPON network
* To perform fibre splicing when required
* To rod & rope and walk off UG/OH/SDU/MDUs if required
* Fault finding and rectification of residential and small business faults
* Ensure a very high standard of customer experience is met
* To be a safety first engineer who wants to deliver exceptional customer experience at all
times
Essential Qualifications & Skills:
* Full UK driver's licence (preferably clean)
* SA001 (Overhead Safety), SA002 (Underground Safety), S7 PIA (Underground Cable Installation), S8 PIA (Overhead Cable Installation)
* NRSWA accreditation
* Experience with fault finding back to the OLT and OTDR testing
* Strong understanding of GIS designs and telecoms infrastructure
* Desired: IPAF MEWP 1B licence, accredited fibre installation qualifications
