We are a well-established, family-run butcher’s shop, which is now part of a larger food wholesaler, with a thriving wholesale section currently operating from our retail premises in Shirehampton. As we prepare to move into a brand-new, purpose-built facility in Yate in early 2026, we’re looking for a skilled and motivated Butcher to join our team and play a key role in this exciting new chapter. You will be working from Shirehampton, until the wholesale side of the business is relocated to Yate.
About the role:
You’ll be working within our wholesale operation, supplying high-quality meat products to a range of clients including restaurants, caterers, and retailers. This is a hands-on role for someone who takes pride in their craft and thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Responsibilities:
Cutting, boning, and preparing meat to wholesale specifications
Ensuring high standards of hygiene and food safety
Assisting with packing and order fulfilment
Supporting the transition to the new Yate facility
Contributing to process improvements and operational efficiency
About You:
Proven experience as a Butcher, ideally in a wholesale or high-volume setting
Strong knowledge of meat cuts and preparation techniques
Reliable, hardworking, and a team player
Comfortable working in a dynamic environment with changing demands
Willing to grow with the business as we expand into our new premises
