You will have lived experience of psychosis and experience of working in a relevant peer support role. We need to prioritise voices of those who have had direct personal experience of psychosis themselves. Their insight is irreplaceable and must be respected directly, not solely through the lens of family. Please ensure you state in your supporting information how you meet this essential experience.
This role is up to 22.5 hours per week and we welcome the opportunity for this role to be a job share. Please state in your supporting statement how many hours per week you are looking for.
The post-holder will be working closely with the AWP R&D Team and Study Research Team, contributing to the successful delivery of the Feeling Safer interventional trial (e.g., therapeutic support). The post-holder will have excellent communication and presentation skills, along with the ability to organise and motivate others. They will demonstrate enthusiasm and innovation when faced with challenges and will contribute to the planning and execution of the project within AWP. This includes delivering key components of the research protocol, including a variety of research tasks (dependent on the project).
The role of the Lived Experience Researcher in AWP is to engage individuals with a diagnosis of psychosis and deliver this specialist CBT intervention (Feeling Safer) under close supervision from a clinical psychologist, working within NHS services and clinical trials methodology. All training will be provided by the study team in Oxford and colleagues in AWP.
It is essential that you have lived experience of psychosis and experience of working in a relevant peer support role.
