The post holder will be part of the process involved in inpatient and day patient catering and domestic duties to ensure that the department provides services in line with process and Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) guidelines and policy, providing a high-quality, efficient service that fulfills the needs of the department in accordance with service level agreements.
Main duties of the job
In the course of their duties, they will:
* Responsible for the regeneration of foods, delivery and return of regeneration trolleys to and from the kitchen
* Cleaning areas such as wards, kitchens, and equipment
* Responsible for general domestic duties as required by the service

Person Specification
Qualifications & Knowledge
* NVQ Level 2 (Catering/Customer Services/Cleaning) or Basic Food Hygiene Certificate, or undertake a period of induction including Basic Food Hygiene, COSHH, Manual Handling
Experience
* Experience of preparing food
* Experience of working as part of a team
* Experience in catering or hospital environment
Aptitude and abilities
* Ability to work on own initiative or as part of a team
* Organizational and communication skills to interact with a range of people
* Demonstrate tact and diplomacy when working with others
* Ability to use technology to update information, e.g., iPads or desktops
