Essential Criteria
* Degree or Masters in Psychotherapy or counselling
* Registered member of one or more of the following bodies: HCPC, BACP, BABCP, PTUK, NCPC, UKCP
* Specialist education setting experience/working therapeutically within a school/child and adolescent – preferred
* Clear and concise report writing relating to clinical and research activities
* Experience of working with people with neurodivergence and/or complex needs (e.g., complex trauma, neurodevelopmental differences, mental health needs)
* Ability to work independently as agreed under supervision
* Experience of multi‑professional work teams or services within designated speciality
* Evidence of continuing professional development relevant to the setting
* Full valid UK driving licence and access to own vehicle
Responsibilities and Duties
As a Psychotherapist you will deliver bespoke assessment and intervention plans for pupils with complex communication needs, autism and associated learning and emotional needs. You will: 1) implement a holistic, therapeutic approach to support pupils in their daily lives, ensuring they are safe, comfortable and healthy; 2) conduct specialist individual assessments and interventions, adhering to professional and regulatory guidelines; 3) prepare relevant documentation, including written reports; and 4) work collaboratively with the onsite clinical team to develop service provision, providing support and training to staff and parents.
