Hydraquip are the UK’s largest independent onsite hose replacement company, offering a 24/7-365 nationwide on-site service. We have been established for over 30 years and have ambitious plans for further growth in the coming years. Currently, we operate approximately 150 service vans and have committed to an investment of £2m to commission 50 new mobile service vans, upgrading our existing fleet and adding additional vehicles. Operated by experienced and dedicated hydraulic engineers, we are proud of our success rate of over 99% of first-time repairs on site. Hydraquip have market leading technology to support our team including our customer portal which allows customers to book and track their hydraulic hose replacement and services, with real time job status updates.
A day in the life of a Hydraquip Field Service Controller:
As our Field Service Controller, you will provide an efficient and effective breakdown service, receiving new breakdown locations from our dedicated Customer Service Team, assigning jobs to our fleet of engineers, and use our T-Card and tracking system to communicate honest and accurate ETAs with our customers. This is a fast-paced role, with much of your time spent on the phone, so the ability to deliver excellent customer service whilst managing multiple priorities is essential.
You will also:
* Accept, prioritise and allocate breakdown jobs to our fleet of mobile engineers.
* Regularly speak to customers and site contacts to provide updates and keep them informed of honest and accurate ETA’s.
* Be the first point of contact for your engineers helping with general queries.
* Utilise technology in managing callouts efficiently.
* Provide regular updates for your region to your RegionalManager.
Who we are looking for:

You will also:
* Have a good geographical knowledge of the Portsmoutharea, as you will be allocating jobs for engineers here.
* Have proven experience within a similar role, this may be within a route planning, dispatch, job allocation or delivery planning position where you are confident with ensuring the jobs within your area are evenly distributed.
* Have excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritise a high workload with sometimes conflicting priorities; so, the ability to adjust, overcome and adapt to any challenges is a must.
* Possess exceptional customer service skills as you will be communicating with customers and providing updates on their breakdown jobs. Around 90% of your time will be liaising over the phone, so a confident and professional telephone manner is essential.
