About you: To be considered for the Learning Support Assistant position, you will: - • Have previous experience working with children and young people with a range of special educational needs, such as learning difficulties, autism, and sensory needs. • Have experience supporting the personal and academic development of young people. • Can confidently deliver small group sessions aligned with personalised academic and pastoral plans. • Thrive in a setting where relationships come first, and emotional engagement is the key to unlocking learning. • Communicates clearly and calmly, even in challenging or high-pressure situations. • Wants to make a real difference in the lives of vulnerable learners. • Have strong communication skills with the ability to quickly build rapport with students • Confidence in using a variety of behaviour management techniques, with a particular focus on resolution management and developmental reflection. • An enthusiasm for outdoor learning, and a readiness to work outside traditional classroom settings in line with our therapeutic approach. • A minimum of GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent). • A strong commitment to ongoing Continuing Professional Development (CPD). • Able to obtain suitable references and a DBS check.
