Our client BAE Systems is currently seeking a Supply Chain Manager - Strategy to join their dynamic team in the Defence & Security sector, operating out of Barrow-in-Furness. This is a 6 month contract role, requiring 1-2 days onsite per week.
Key Responsibilities:
* Effectively managing categories, specifically electrical systems and equipment
* Interfacing with internal customers to ensure smooth operations
* Providing leadership and coaching to 1 or 2 direct reports
* Implementing change management and continuous improvement initiatives
* Influencing stakeholders through effective negotiation and communication
* Supporting multiple build lines and managing major equipment design and development
Job Requirements:
* Experience in supply chain management, particularly within electrical systems and equipment
* Understanding of the Defence, Aerospace, Construction, Major Infrastructure, Oil & Gas, or Nuclear sectors
* Proficient in managing and coaching team members
* Experience with change management and continuous improvement strategies
* Strong stakeholder negotiation and influencing skills
* CIPS or APM qualifications are desirable but not essential
