We are searching for an experienced Accounting Insight and Advisory Assistant Manager to join our team.

Join our growing national Finance Function Support team, focusing on private businesses in the Southern region. As Assistant Manager, you’ll support Managers and the wider team, assisting in delivering work across a portfolio of SME corporate clients, primarily providing accounting services such as bookkeeping, management accounts, and VAT returns.

This fast-growing team offers opportunities to develop skills in business development, coaching, and cross-service collaboration across the UK.

You’ll make an impact by:

* Playing a vital role in shaping client success, driving team performance, and contributing to the growth of our Finance Function Support team in the Southern region.
* Supporting Managers in delivering a premium service and high-quality outcomes to our SME clients.
* Working within agreed budgets, contributing to job profitability and efficient delivery.
* Managing a portfolio of clients, overseeing project timelines, billing, and client care.
* Building strong, trusted relationships and acting as a key point of contact.
* Proactively identifying and communicating issues, offering practical solutions.
* Leading and supervising assignments when required, ensuring smooth execution.
* Training and mentoring junior team members, providing guidance and constructive feedback.
* Collaborating with audit and tax teams to meet deadlines and resolve key issues.
* Developing knowledge of our specialist services and identifying opportunities to add value.
* Staying up to date with technical developments and meeting training requirements.

What we are looking for:

Are you someone who thrives on variety, loves learning new things, and enjoys connecting with people? If you can spot inefficiencies and are passionate about making improvements, this role is perfect for you!

We value diverse experiences and perspectives. Our ideal candidate will have:

* ACA qualification or equivalent.
* Experience with UK GAAP – FRS 102 and FRS 105.
* Experience working in a professional practice, ideally in an accounting advisory team.
* A strong understanding of UK financial reporting requirements.
