Overview
This role will be based on the university campus, with scope for it to be undertaken in a hybrid manner. We are also open to discussing flexible working arrangements.
Responsibilities
* Support the University's Intellectual Property (IP) Licensing team to identify potential licensing opportunities, respond to external enquiries, issue quotes, and build relationships with customers who use our online licensing portal.
* Work alongside Licensing Managers to assist the commercialisation process by enabling industry partners to swiftly access the results of University research through straightforward commercial transactions.
* Contribute to development of commercialisation activities within one of the UK’s largest research-intensive universities.
Qualifications / Experience
* Strong interest in science and technology and its commercial development and exploitation.
* Experience in sales and/or account handling, preferably in a business-to-business role.
* Ability to build strong relationships with key customers and communicate effectively via online platforms and email.
