Manpower Engineering is recruiting on behalf of a global leader in technology.
The Role
You’ll assemble and test electronic/electrical components, sub-assemblies and complete assemblies for advanced subsea systems. Working from schematics and drawings in an ISO9001 environment, you’ll build wiring looms and control panels, carry out PCB-level fault-finding/repair, complete documentation, and help the team hit build/test milestones safely and to spec.
The role is Monday - Thursday 8.30-16:30 and Friday 8.30-4pm.
Due to the location, a driving license and your own transport will be required.
Key Responsibilities
* Assemble electronic/electrical sub-assemblies from schematics, drawings and work orders to ISO9001 standards.
* Wire and solder harnesses, cable assemblies, PCBs (SMT/through-hole), transformer assemblies, control consoles and connectors.
* Perform heavy-duty cable wiring, deck cable assembly and control system outfitting.
* Diagnose, fault-find and repair to PCB component level; carry out troubleshooting and functional testing.
* Operate computer-controlled equipment as required.
* Meet build times/efficiency targets for project integration and tooling/spares work orders.
* Complete required documentation (e.g. timesheets, ECNs) accurately and on time.
* Maintain high standards of housekeeping, quality and safety; follow good working practices.
* Other reasonable duties as assigned.
* Some ad-hoc travel may be required.
What You’ll Bring (Essential)
* Hands-on panel wiring/looming (LV AC/DC) and the ability to work confidently from electrical schematics.
* Soldering skills (through-hole and ideally SMT) with PCB rework/fault-finding to component level.
* Exposure to control/data systems; awareness of high-voltage installations.
* Strong focus on quality, schedule and safety; accurate documentation in an ISO9001 environment.
* Clear communicator, organised, a team player who can work under pressure and manage detail.
Desirable
* ONC (or higher) in Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
* 18th Edition (IET/BS 7671).
* Fibre-optic handling/termination experience.
* Experience in shop-floor build/test, production processes and equipment.
QHSE
* Act in compliance with site QHSE requirements and personal accountability.
* Report unsafe or environmentally unsound acts/conditions so risks can be managed.
Why Apply?
* Join a world-class engineering environment with tangible product impact.
* Varied, hands-on work across cutting-edge systems.
* Supportive team culture with opportunities to learn (including fibre-optic skills).
