A new opportunity for an Audio Visual and Digital Support Officer in Newry, Mourne and Down Council has become available. This role will be based in Downshire Civic Centre, Downpatrick.
This is a temporary post initially for 3 months. The post is 36 hours per week Monday to Friday with an hourly rate of £19.37.
The Audio Visual and Digital Support Officer will work as part of the Council’s IT team, supporting the setup, operation and development of audio-visual and digital systems across Council sites. The role focuses on maintaining and troubleshooting AV equipment, supporting live webcasting of meetings, assisting users with technical issues, and helping deliver new digital solutions. The postholder will work closely with internal teams to ensure systems are reliable, secure and aligned with Council policies, while also contributing to future improvements, training, and the delivery of the Council’s Digital Strategy.
What We Need From You
* 4 GCSEs (A-C grade including English and Maths)
* Have a minimum of a Level 4* qualification, for e.g. HNC in Audio Visual Technology, Computing, Computer Science or Information Technology.
* A minimum of 1 years’ experience gained in an Audio-Visual support
* A related AV qualification (AVIXA CTS, Polycom PCVE, Creative Venue Technician apprenticeship, Audiovisual Technician apprenticeship etc.) is strongly desired.
