DEPARTMENT/SCHOOL: Faculty of Medicine & Health Sciences, Buckingham Campus JOB TITLE: Senior Lecturer (Biomedical Sciences) - Professionalism Lead SALARY & HOURS: £57,355 per annum 1 FTE Permanent The University of Buckingham is unique. The professionalism Lead (0.6 FTE) will manage the professionalism concerns in the school, via chairing the professionalism support committee, liaising with student support and meeting with individual students. The post holder will also contribute to the faculty teaching team (0.4 FTE) and participate in the design, delivery and quality control of excellent undergraduate-level learning, teaching and assessment activities for the undergraduate MB ChB programme, Cert HE in medical sciences and Student Selected Components (SSCs). In addition to leading large and small group sessions, the successful candidate will be expected to use best evidence in the creation and evaluation of teaching sessions. They will be expected to create and evaluate assessment items. The ideal candidates will be trained to doctoral level in any discipline cognate to medical sciences (for example anatomy, physiology, cell biology, biochemistry or genetics). Applicants will have experience in teaching medical students (or health care professionals), or be able to demonstrate a commitment to developing as medical educators able to teach across a range of subjects.
