An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated radiographer to join our plain film radiology team. You will work across all areas of plain film imaging including:
 * Accident and Emergency
 * Out-Patients (including satellite sites)
 * In-Patients
 * Theatre
 * Portables
The ideal candidate will be driven to support the delivery of high standards of care within our department. We strive to provide timely, high quality, patient‑centred care in line with the Trust's values.
You must be a registered HCPC Diagnostic Radiographer currently practising within the NHS. We will support newly qualified staff with a full preceptorship programme.
Students due to qualify within the next 6 months can apply.
The post holder will assist in the provision of a high‑quality radiographic service by performing general radiographic duties and supporting the department on a 24/7 basis. The role requires flexibility as the department continuously adapts to local and national modernization agendas.
Key Responsibilities
 * Perform general radiographic duties within the radiology department.
 * Provide a timely radiographic service on a 24/7 basis.
 * Support the department in providing a service that meets local and national modernization agendas.
 * Establish and maintain communication with staff and patients on routine operational matters.
 * Monitor and maintain health, safety, and security.
 * Contribute to service development, quality improvements, and clinical governance (Safecare) activities.
 * Assist in monitoring and protecting groups and individuals whose health and well‑being may be at risk with respect to radiation safety.
 * Plan, monitor, and evaluate the movement of people and goods.
 * Input and process patient data when required.
 * Adapt skills and knowledge alongside technological advancements to enhance overall patient care.
 * Support equality, diversity, and rights initiatives within the department.
Qualifications
 * Registered HCPC Diagnostic Radiographer practising within the NHS.
 * Strong organisational and communication skills.
 * Commitment to high quality, patient‑centred care.
 * Ability to work effectively within a busy and demanding environment.
