Bar Manager Role
We are currently recruiting for an energetic and experienced person to spearhead our bars operation and assist the wider F&B team through the next stage of our evolution. As an exceptionally busy venue, it is imperative that we appoint the right person so, if you are excited by the brief below we will be delighted to hear from you:
Reporting to the Food and Beverage Manager Team, the successful candidate will enthuse and motivate colleagues to deliver exceptional service, whilst maintaining the current high standards of cellar management and impressive levels of beverage procurement and stock control. It will be essential to also support all areas of the F&B operation, covering food and event service.
To succeed in this role, you must possess proven customer service skills, leadership abilities, self-motivation, and organisational prowess. Effective communication is key, as is a background in the hospitality industry. We are looking for an individual who embodies our ethos of passion for hospitality, with an ability to thrive under pressure and an energetic leadership style. The successful candidate should have experience in leading front of house operations, and delivering exceptional customer service; preferably in multiple sectors, covering leisure bar and restaurant, business conferences, weddings and corporate events.
Key responsibilities of the Bar Manager include:
* Jointly operationally lead the Food and Beverage team in a hands on role, ensuring a consistency of service and guest satisfaction across our venue
* Maintain the highest standards of hygiene, cleanliness and tidiness around the Hotel
* Professionally engage with guests and visitors and promptly deal with all queries and enquiries
* Produce and maintain all department SOP's
* Provide regular refresher training for existing team members
* Oversee new team member inductions and training
* Cellar management
* Stock Control
* Procurement
* Maintain personal hygiene and presentation standards at all times
The Candidate must have:
* Clear spoken and written English
* Education to A Level standard or equivalent
* At least two years' supervisory experience in the Hospitality Industry with experience of managing bar operations, large functions and events
* Commitment, honesty, reliability and ambition
* A desire to be the best and to provide the best hospitality experience
* Own transport essential due to our location and shift patterns ranging between 6am to 1am each week
