Working with our Interim Chief Medical Officer, and Deputy Chief Medical Officer for Safety and Clinical Effectiveness you will provide leadership on the Clinical Strategy and all medical and dental workforce issues, through professional assurance, leadership development, workforce planning and productivity. You will have had considerable experience in medical management with a demonstrable track record of clinical leadership in an acute setting/complex healthcare organisation. This role will also work closely with the Chief Nurse, Deputy Chief Nurses and Divisional Leadership Teams supported by a number of Associate Chief Medical Officer roles to ensure we have sufficient resource for all areas of the CMO portfolio. This role is one of two Deputy Chief Medical Officer posts. The Deputy Chief Medical Officer, Strategy and Workforce provides leadership on the Clinical Strategy and all medical and dental workforce issues, through professional assurance, leadership development, workforce planning and productivity. The role leads on medical workforce planning, including the development of electronic job planning, consultant induction and health inequalities, improved medical staff engagement across the Trust, as well as input into the creation of medical leadership development programmes. You will work alongside our Deputy Chief Medical Officer, Safety and Clinical Effectiveness who will support the delivery of the Trust's strategic goals with a focus on providing strong professional and clinical leadership to improve clinical outcomes, patient safety, medical standards, patient experience, efficiency and effectiveness. The portfolio of these roles will align and engage medical staff in delivering efficient, high quality, safe and compassionate care to patients in all services.
