The role
A successful wholesale and distribution organisation in St. Helens have asked us to support them in their search for a strong AAT Level 4 qualified Accounts Assistant. This role provides the opportunity for someone to cover the sales ledger, purchase ledger, credit control and assist with month end duties.
Duties:
- Validate and process all sales and purchase invoices.
- To post entries to the company's accounting system (SAGE50) including Sales, Purchases, Bank Transactions and Journals.
- Liaise with other departments to resolve any discrepancies on hours or expense claims.
- Reconcile credit card account.
- Reconcile bank accounts on Sage.
- To maintain the fixed asset register.
- Process and validate staff expenses.
- Review the purchase order log on a weekly basis.
- To assist in other areas of the Finance when required.
- To ensure the company maintains sound financial systems and keeps accurate records of all income and expenditure.
Required:
- Experience in both Purchase and Sales ledger.
- AAT Level 4 qualified / studying towards.
