General Manager - Live In
We are seeking a food-focused, guest‑centric General Manager for The Red Barn in Lingfield, Surrey. This historic pub, housed in a 500‑year‑old barn, offers traditional countryside charm with flagstones, wooden beams and cosy fireplaces.
Responsibilities
* Lead the day‑to‑day operations of the pub, ensuring excellent customer service and a high‑quality offering.
* Develop and tailor the food menu and events to meet local demand, with freedom to decide what appears on the menu at no restriction to a bank of recipes.
* Set and manage the marketing strategy, recruitment, training, and staff uniform.
* Drive revenue through sales initiatives, events, and marketing while maintaining profitability.
* Recruit, develop, and motivate the team to deliver exceptional hospitality.
* Operate within the framework of Group policy and local regulations.
Qualifications
* Experience as a General Manager or in a senior hospitality role.
* Proven track record with fresh‑seasonal food at volume in a similar environment.
* Strong entrepreneurial spirit and a passion for outstanding customer service.
* Leadership skills with ability to develop and inspire a team.
