This is an exciting role within the Hazardous Waste team to provide leadership ensuring the regime is sustainably resourced, meets all internal audit standards, and remains fit for the future.
The role duties and responsibilities include:
1. Conducting a holistic review of hazardous waste charge funding and outcomes, including options for improvements.
2. Implementing recommendations from this review, such as:
* Assessing the distribution of monies
* Evaluating KPIs
* Developing and delivering new ways of working
Additional responsibilities may include:
* Advancing recommendations from internal delivery audits
* Supporting the implementation of Improving Regulation
* Driving Area Hazardous Waste activities and increasing visibility
The team
The Environment & Business (E&B) Hazardous Waste team is a small, high-performing team within the Regime Regulation division of E&B Waste & Resources Regulation. We lead on hazardous waste management, supporting government, industry, and colleagues to ensure proper handling.

The role is based at an EA Office, with flexible/hybrid working arrangements. Some travel and overnight stays may be required.
