Multiskilled Engineer
Yolk Recruitment is working with a well-known manufacturer in Wales, a family-owned business established over 100 years ago.
You will work independently on a fully automated production line, following a 4 on 4 off shift pattern (2 days/2 nights).
Responsibilities
* Provide electrical and mechanical support across all production lines to ensure smooth operation.
* Perform fault finding and repairs on electrical and mechanical systems, including PLCs (Allen Bradley and Siemens).
* Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) to maximize machine uptime and reliability.
* Respond promptly to breakdowns to minimize downtime.
* Collaborate with team leaders and engineers to prioritize maintenance tasks and improve plant performance.
* Install, maintain, and repair machinery and site services equipment as needed.
* Monitor equipment performance and suggest improvements for efficiency.
Candidate Requirements
* Strong electrical and mechanical knowledge supporting all production lines.
* Proactive fault finding, testing, and repair skills.
* Experience with PLC fault finding and modifications using Allen Bradley and Siemens PLCs.
* Ability to work independently.
Benefits
If successful, you will earn a salary up to £44,000 depending on experience, with overtime opportunities. Current engineers earn over £50,000 plus benefits.
