Role: Training Coordinator - Electrical
Location: Tresham College - Corby Campus
Salary/Benefits: Salary between £30,915 and £41,085 per annum, based on experience and qualifications. 27 days annual leave plus Bank holidays, People’s Pension, Retail and Leisure Discounts, professional and personal development opportunities, access to college courses.
Hours/Weeks: 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year.
Contract Type: Permanent – Full Time.

About the role
Training Coordinator in Electrical Installations to join the Construction department at The Bedford College Group.
Key responsibilities include:
* Apprenticeship Coordination & Learner Journey – Manage the end‑to‑end plumbing apprenticeship journey, including induction, initial assessment, delivery, assessment and timely programme completion.
* Assessment, Coaching & Progress Review – Conduct initial and ongoing assessments, provide coaching and mentoring, carry out workplace reviews, set SMART targets and assess progress against KSBs and awarding body standards.
* Quality Assurance & Compliance – Coordinate internal verification, ensure evidence meets validity and audit requirements, maintain accurate records on e‑portfolio systems, and comply with funding, quality and college procedures.
* Employer & Stakeholder Engagement – Liaise closely with employers, delivery teams, Business Development and support services, providing progress feedback, monitoring workplace health & safety and supporting bespoke training solutions.
* Professional Practice & College Values – Contribute to curriculum development, CPD and team practice while upholding safeguarding, EDI, health & safety and College values, undertaking additional duties as required.
About you
* Qualifications & Technical Competence – GCSE Maths and English (Grade A–C/Level 2), A1 Assessor or TAQA qualification, Level 3 sector qualification, AM2 and 18th Edition, with strong knowledge of standards and assessment requirements.
* Industry & Assessment Experience – Recent commercial or industrial experience, with proven delivery, assessment and coordination of competence‑based training programmes and liaison with employers.
* Learner Engagement & Progress Management – Skilled at motivating learners, managing caseloads and diaries, and supporting timely, successful completion of apprenticeships and qualifications.
* Administration, Communication & Customer Service – Strong organisational and record‑keeping skills to meet audit requirements, with effective communication across learners, employers and stakeholders to ensure high customer satisfaction.
* Flexibility, Business Awareness & Mobility – Proactive and flexible approach to meeting targets, identifying new business opportunities, managing time effectively and travelling across a geographic area as required.
