To further their growth they seek a Purchasing and Production Coordinator at their Solihull office to manage the procurement process within their organisation.
This position is responsible for ensuring the timely acquisition of goods and services while maintaining optimal inventory levels. The ideal candidate will possess strong negotiation skills and a logistical/logical mind
Duties include:
Processing orders with supply chain for products and materials.
Ensuring lead times and delivery dates from supply chain are managed and
communicated to other departments as required.
To calculate part requirements from work schedules.
Ensure all costs are entered on the ERP software and prices checked prior to
ordering.
Ensuring customer is kept up to date with order status and delivery date to
ensure customer satisfaction.
Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to negotiate favourable
terms and pricing.
Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures in all purchasing
activities.
Assist in resolving any issues related to procurement or supplier
performance.
Experience required for the Purchasing and Production Coordinator role
It is likely that you will have coordinated projects in the past and have a good understanding of procurement processes. In addition you will need:
Advanced level of MS Excel required for creating, managing and analysing data for production figures and reports
Strong negotiation skills with the ability to secure advantageous terms.
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail.
Ability to analyse data and make informed decisions based on market
trends.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively liaise
with suppliers and internal teams.
Problem-solving mindset with the ability to handle challenges proactively.
