As an Administrator, you will be responsible for adhering to documented laboratory procedures and record raw analytical data for approval prior to issuance to clients. This is a crucial role that requires excellent multitasking abilities and exceptional attention to detail. Responsibilities: Ensure that the contract reviews and reports meet the requirements of any relevant accreditation standards (e.g. ISO 17025) and/or regulatory compliance standards are met. Maintain organised and auditable systems of work to ensure compliance with UKAS 17025 accreditation. Scan in contracts into the LIMS system to maintain full traceability. Report equipment/instrumentation failure to senior staff member to execute remedial action to ensure continuity of service. Delivery of allocated daily tasks within defined timescales to maximise operational outputs and efficiencies. Assist in booking of samples and raw data entry using SGS LIMS to ensure prompt turnaround on sample analysis Qualifications To be successful in this role, you'll need …. Essential High focus on precision and accuracy. Ablity to work under own initiative and with a high degree of autonomy & maturity. GCSE Science/Mathematics/English or equivalent grades A to C. Driving License for use in the UK. Desirable Knowledge of IT systems, particularly MS Office applications. Experience of working within a UKAS accredited laboratory. Experience of testing within the food industry. Experience in a service industry related to the food industry. Experience of working in a testing laboratory, meeting exacting process and client demands. Higher education qualification in microbiology or related subject - i.e. HNC.
