Are you brilliant at implementing commissioning and grants activity, with sound financial acumen? Do you have experience of planning and development, and the ability to play a leading role in providing financial support aspects of commissioning within the OPCC – maintaining effective controls and oversight of money distributed to partners and helping to secure grant funding for vital projects? If so, we have an exciting opportunity to join us as a Finance, Grants and Commissioning Officer. As a key part of a small but dynamic team, the successful candidate will be involved in building effective relationships, demonstrating sound management of commissioned contracts, performance and financial monitoring to help to deliver the priorities of the Police and Crime Plan. The successful candidate will be involved in the development and implementation of a wide range of plans, strategies and contract and financial management across a range of topic areas but will primarily focus on leading work on prioritised themes that support delivery of the Police and Crime Plan. The current prioritised areas the successful candidate will lead on are t he annual grants process, the recommissioning of services and commissioned service performance and financial monitoring. Key skills will include: Excellent oral and written communication skills and experience of producing reports and briefings. Experience of commissioning and financial monitoring is essential. Highly motivated, a self-starter, proactive and uses their own initiative.
