You will support and lead a range of safety projects within high-hazard industries, including Oil & Gas, Renewables, and Low Carbon energy, contributing to the energy transition.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver safety engineering projects with technical excellence
* Conduct safety assessments (e.g., consequence analysis, QRA, FSA, COMAH/Safety Case compliance)
* Write and review technical reports
* Mentor and lead junior engineers
* Prepare proposals and cost estimations for new scopes
* Engage directly with clients and help build strong relationships
* Contribute to business growth and continuous improvement
* Perform additional duties as reasonably required by the organization
Required Qualifications and Skills
* Degree in a relevant engineering or related discipline
* Chartered status (or close to obtaining it)
* Strong experience in Process/Technical Safety within the energy sector
* Proficiency in risk and safety management, QRA, and consequence analysis (PHAST preferred)
* Solid knowledge of COMAH, Safety Case Regulations, and other relevant standards
* Proven ability to lead scopes, manage budgets, and meet deadlines
* Strong technical writing and peer-review skills
* Experience contributing to winning proposals
