Consultant Geriatrician
The Geriatric Medicine team at Surrey & Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust (SASH) invites applicants for Consultant Geriatrician roles to support and expand our frailty and acute services.
Responsibilities
* Lead clinical management of patients in emergency department (ED), frailty Structured Day Care (SDEC) and in‑patient elderly care wards.
* Develop and deliver a 7‑day frailty SDEC service, including direct admissions from GP referrals and SeCAMB.
* Collaborate with the GEMINI team, allied health professionals (ACPs, AHPs) and community partners to expand geriatric care.
* Support the National Neighbourhood Health Implementation Programme (NNHIP) trial and the Frailty Collaborative Hub in Surrey East.
* Promote evidence‑based practice across acute, emergency, surgical and community settings.
Qualifications & Skills
* Consultant grade Geriatrician with NHS relevant experience.
* Ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams in an innovative environment.
* Passion for advancing geriatric care and willingness to challenge traditional boundaries.
