HGV Class 2 Drivers - Knowsley
We are currently recruiting experienced HGV Class 2 Drivers to join a well-established distribution operation delivering to hospitality venues across the North West and North Wales.
Working Pattern
Choose from the following shifts:
* Sunday – Thursday
* Tuesday – Saturday
Start Times:
* Sunday – 9:00am
* Saturday – 8:00am
* Tuesday to Friday – 7:30am
Pay & Benefits
* £17.73p/h PAYE Including Holiday Pay
* Uniform provided
* Free refreshments available on site
* Guaranteed minimum 48 hours paid per week even if you work less hours.
The Role - This is a permanent position after 12 weeks
* Driving HGV Class 2 Automatic DAF Trucks, to make deliveries across the Northwest and North Wales
* Operating curtainside vehicles
* Delivering pallets of alcohol & soft drinks to hospitality venues
* Using an electric pump truck to unload at the delivery point
* Working alongside a Driver’s Mate who will help to communicate with the delivery point and unloading the vehicles
* Using a hand held device to update all deliveries and job tracking
* Some deliveries are unmanned and will require you to hold keys to open and lock premises
* Handling customer payments and ensuring safe return of cash to the depot
Skills & Experience
* HGV Class 2 Licence, Valid CPC & Digital Tachograph Card
* Minimum 6 months Class 2 experience
* No more than 6 points for minor endorsements
* Comfortable with manual unloading
* Trustworthy and responsible when handling cash
* Professional, customer-focused attitude
