Our hotel is in the heart of the action, easily accessible by mainline rail stations and local transport. The city's attractions are right on our doorstep, which makes us the perfect stay for a concert, conference or cultural event.

Our next General Manager will be responsible for all operational delivery at the hotel with the support and leadership of the Head of Operations. To ensure that the hotel implements the systems, policies, strategies and initiatives developed by the business, meets and exceeds the needs of the guest, maintains an engaged and motivated team and ensures that brand standards are met and constantly challenged.

As our new General Manager - Maternity Cover, you will:

* Deliver exceptional hospitality by personalising the guest experience, maintaining brand standards, and responding to feedback with professionalism and empathy.
* Monitor guest satisfaction across all feedback channels, drive improvements, and protect guest confidentiality/data at all times.
* Recruit, onboard, train, and develop team members while ensuring regular performance reviews, coaching, and compliance with company policies.
* Create a positive, motivated team environment and manage rotas, absences, holidays, and HR/Payroll updates via Fourth.
* Ensure consistent operational excellence across all areas including H&S, cleanliness, security and maintenance standard
* Keep the team informed of system, policy, and procedural changes and perform daily audits to ensure full compliance.
* Support commercial, sales, and revenue strategies while maintaining accurate stock control, monthly reporting, and DPS/Personal Licence responsibilities.
* Complete monthly payroll submissions and support the HQ Finance team with cash, banking, and reconciliation processes.
