Head of Electronics – Electronics – Nottinghamshire – LM1221\n\nSalary: Competitive\n\nJob Term: Full Time/Permanent\n\nJob Outline:\n\nMy client, who is a leader in the world of Electronic Test & Measurement, now seeks a Head of Electronics to join their growing team.\n\nBased within commuting distance of my client’s facility close to Nottingham and reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will be responsible for, and lead, on all technical aspects of electronic manufacturing.\n\nAs the Head of Electronics, you will provide technical expertise, leadership and mentorship to a small team across Electronics, Calibration, Quality and Service.\n\nYou will be the technical expert for any electronic, calibration and quality issues across my client manufacturing group, and as such it is expected that you will have strong electronic test, calibration and fault-finding skills.\n\nYou will also manage and develop my client’s calibration team. This will include gaining ISO17025 accreditation, setting up a new calibration lab that meets the requirements of improved accreditation, whilst improving calibration through put.\n\nIn addition, you will also manage all aspects of quality including maintaining ISO9001:2015 UKAS accreditation and improving day to day quality particularly through staff training.\n\nYou will also take responsibility for ensuring the product meets all relevant international standards, as well as managing and developing my clients EU service centre.\n\nIn return my client can offer an excellent salary, along with a dynamic and positive working environment, and for the right candidate strong career progression possibilities.\n\nQualifications:\n\nIt is expected that you will have a PhD or Masters, in Electronic Engineering or similar.\n\nThe successful candidate will have several years of experience, successfully leading manufacturing and/or calibration/test teams.\n\nYou will be able to demonstrate that you have achieved continuous process improvement and compliance to international standards in the electronics industry, or a closely related industry.\n\nAdditional information:\n\nCandidates MUST be eligible to live and work in the UK.
