Overview
Join our Insight team at Chambers and Partners as a Research Analyst, based in our Birmingham office. We are actively seeking talented individuals to join our Insight team. As a Research Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in transforming commentary compiled by our research teams into valuable insights for law firms. The success of our Insight team is integral to the overall success of our business, and we are continuously looking for qualified individuals to contribute to this success.
Responsibilities
 * Parse the quantitative and qualitative data compiled by research teams for all published guides and turn it into useful information for law firms.
 * Assist law firms by providing reports that inform improvements to their submissions for recognition within our tables and help shape their strategy in the global legal landscape.
 * Write 200–400 words of compelling copy in every chapter of your report, answering potential questions about rankings.
 * Learn to write sophisticated CMI reports, including market analyses and comparisons to competitor firms.
 * Take ownership of each report assigned and regularly discuss work with the Manager.
Skills and Experience
 * Using the research database to find relevant raw data
 * Tidying interview comments for sense and clarity
 * Rendering comments anonymous by removing any information that could reveal the identity of the speaker
 * Drawing appropriate conclusions about how final ranking decisions were arrived at, incorporating research notes left by the research team
 * Writing clear, concise copy easily understood by a layperson
 * Summarising findings in a short executive summary
 * Maintaining high accuracy in reports by ensuring factual information is correct and up to date
Person Specification
 * Excellent writing skills, particularly the ability to write clearly and concisely
 * Ability to draw broad conclusions after examining raw data and research notes
 * Ability to closely follow house style
 * Intellectually curious
