We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Bank Residential Support Workers to join our team at a 4-bedded children's home in Benfleet. As the number of children in the home increases, there will be an opportunity for permanent employment.
About the Role
As a Bank Residential Support Worker, you will provide essential care and support to children and young people, helping to create a safe, nurturing, and structured environment. You will work closely with the team to promote positive outcomes, independence, and emotional well-being for each child.
Key Responsibilities
Provide day-to-day care, support, and guidance to children and young people.
Support individual care plans, risk assessments, and behaviour management strategies.
Foster a safe and therapeutic environment to help young people thrive.
Encourage independence and help children build essential life skills.
Work closely with the team to ensure a consistent and high standard of care.
Maintain accurate records and contribute to care planning.
Follow all Ofsted regulations, safeguarding policies, and procedures.
What We're Looking For
Previous experience working with children and young people in a residential (essential).
A caring, resilient, and child-focused approach.
Understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
A flexible and adaptable attitude to work bank shifts as required.
Ability to work 12-hour day shifts or 14-hour day shifts + sleep-in.
Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or willingness to work towards it).
