We can offer you: Flexibility Friendly practice population with manageable/controlled workload Low level of complaints Home visits undertaken by our visiting physician 8,000 patients over two sites (Holbrook and Shotley) Duties will include; Working as part of our multidisciplinary team, you will have the opportunity to support and care for a diverse patient group. The role will include all general duties and responsibilities associated with a GP working within primary care, as well as: Undertaking a variety of duties including surgery consultations, telephone consultations and queries, visiting patients at home, checking and signing repeat prescriptions and dealing with queries, paperwork, reports and correspondence in a timely fashion; All general duties and responsibilities associated with a GP working within primary care. Making professional, autonomous decisions in relation to presenting medical problems, whether self-referred or referred from other healthcare workers within the organisation Assessing the healthcare needs of patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems Screening patients for disease risk factors and early signs of illness Developing care plans for health in consultation with patients and in line with current practice disease management protocols Providing health education Recording clear consultation notes to agreed standards Collecting data for audit purposes and complying with QOF requirements Delivering enhanced services Compiling and issuing computer-generated acute and repeat prescriptions About the Candidate Are you an experienced healthcare worker, looking to expand your contribution to healthcare and personal job satisfaction? Qualifications, skills and experience required: Professional registration with relevant professional body: NMC, HCPC or GPhC Post-graduate qualification in specific speciality, or equivalent experience Post-registration experience at a senior level (Band 7 or above) in specialty area Evidence of on-going CPD Advanced clinical assessment skills Excellent communication skills Ability to perform in stressful and complex situations Sound clinical reasoning & decision making Flexibility Ability to inspire and lead a team About Us The Holbrook and Shotley Practice is a GP Practice across two surgery sites.
