Environmental Conditions
Adherence to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Safety Standards, Cold Room/Freezers -22 degrees, some PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) required (safety glasses, gowning, gloves, lab coat, ear plugs, etc.)
Work Schedule
* Monday - Friday (6am-2:15pm & 2pm-10:15pm rotating)
* Flexibility to work shifts, including nights and weekends, depending on production demands
Position Summary: Based at our Horsham site, this role supports production, serialization, commercial equipment, and other areas such as the Warehouse, with equipment breakdowns and overtime. The focus is on minimizing downtime in accordance with GMP and GEP standards, following SOPs, managing own time, and adhering to planned maintenance schedules.
Responsibilities:
* Continuously improve packaging, serialization, commercial equipment, and packaging operations. Evaluate process metrics, identify improvement opportunities, reduce variation, and optimize performance. Create or amend procedures to meet new or changed requirements.
* Follow GMP and GEP standards and SOPs.
* Implement planned maintenance schedules, identify preventative maintenance needs, and address them.
* Discuss issues with team members and leaders, participate in meetings, and provide constructive input.
* Engage in ongoing training and development, and train resources as needed.
* Manage and complete assigned work, working mainly on a double day shift with flexibility for other shifts when required.
* Lead or assist in projects such as new equipment installation, development, improvement, and validation.
* Liaise with internal customers and machine suppliers to resolve issues, and request supplier visits if necessary.
* Ensure health and safety procedures are followed, including near miss reports and risk assessments.
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
* NVQ Level 3, HND, or higher in Electrical Engineering or equivalent, with 17th or 18th edition wiring regulations.
* Proven ability to analyze complex technical issues, propose practical solutions, and drive continuous improvement in process industries.
* Detailed knowledge and application of engineering standards.
* Experience with CI tools such as 5S, Kaizen, etc.
* Willingness to travel as required.
