As part of their continued investment in people and processes, they’re now looking for a talented Purchasing Manager to strengthen their supply chain and drive improvements across the function. This is a high-impact role, offering both responsibility and visibility - ideal for someone who enjoys balancing hands-on purchasing with broader procurement strategy. The Opportunity As Purchasing Manager, you’ll take full ownership of the buying and procurement process - from sourcing and negotiating to supplier performance management. You’ll ensure the business has a robust, efficient and cost-effective supply chain, enabling production to keep pace with demand while supporting wider transformation projects. Key Responsibilities Manage all purchasing and procurement activity across materials, components and services Develop and implement procurement strategies to secure best value and minimise risk Negotiate supplier contracts, pricing and terms, ensuring favourable outcomes Build strong, long-term supplier relationships while monitoring performance against KPIs Optimise stock levels and maintain continuity of supply for production Identify opportunities for savings, efficiencies and process improvements Support wider business transformation by aligning procurement with growth objectives What We’re Looking For Proven purchasing/procurement experience within manufacturing or engineering Strong commercial and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence suppliers Solid understanding of procurement best practice and supply chain processes Analytical, proactive and confident making decisions that impact business performance A track record of delivering cost savings, supplier improvements and operational value What’s on Offer Salary £40,000 - £50,000 depending on experience Hybrid working Up to 25 days holiday bank holidays Pension The chance to shape the procurement function during a period of transformation
