Job Overview:
The Campus Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient day-to-day operations of the Borough campus, maintaining a safe, well-maintained, and supportive environment for staff and students. This role involves coordinating maintenance, operations, health & safety, security, and sustainability initiatives.
The Campus Coordinator plays a key role in creating an environment conducive to effective work and learning, ensuring campus activities run seamlessly while meeting organizational standards and compliance requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
* Coordinate and oversee campus operations, facilities maintenance, cleaning, security, and IT functionality.
* Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations, risk assessments, and emergency procedures.
* Maintain campus facilities, resources, and environments to meet the needs of students, staff, and visitors.
* Act as the primary key holder, responsible for the secure opening and closing of the campus site.
* Ensure classrooms and office spaces are well-resourced, functional, properly set up, clean, and tidy to facilitate work and learning.
* Inform staff and students of facilities, resources, environment issues, changes, and procedures.
* Monitor, order, and coordinate campus supplies, including refreshments and catering.
* Keep an updated inventory of all campus equipment and supplies.
* Support the Campus Manager with practical tasks as needed.
* Collaborate with the Student Services team to promote excellent student support.
* Report issues related to maintenance, procurement, and health & safety to the campus manager.
* Assist with campus events such as workshops and induction programs.
* Provide regular reports to the line manager.
* Willingness to work outside standard hours, including weekends, as required.
* Test the fire alarm weekly to ensure safety.
Qualifications and Experience:
* Experience in facilities, resources, coordination, or similar roles.
* Understanding of the Higher Education sector and culture.
* Knowledge of health & safety legislation and related regulations.
* Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
