The role of European Head of Ethics & Compliance is to implement and maintain a best-in-class compliance program for Pilgrim's Europe. Pilgrim's Europe is comprised of twelve trading companies including Pilgrim's UK, Moy Park, and Pilgrim's Food Masters UK.
What will I be doing?
1. Enhance and protect the company's reputation by providing timely and high-quality ethics and compliance advice to all areas of the business, either directly or by engaging appropriate external advisers.
2. Initiate, design, develop, maintain, and revise compliance policies and procedures, taking into account internal and external factors, new and emerging risks, and the global compliance program.
3. Create and implement annual compliance communications and training plans.
4. Prepare monthly reports on compliance performance of Pilgrim's Europe and participate in monthly global compliance leadership calls.
5. Collaborate with Internal Audit, HR, Finance, and other business units to develop metrics for identifying, measuring, and testing risk controls and mitigation.
6. Stay current and aware of industry best practices and emerging risks to maintain a best-in-class compliance program.
7. Attract, develop, direct, motivate, and drive the performance of the Ethics & Compliance team.
8. The role's remit will include:
o Vendor Management

o Criminal Finances
o Whistleblowing
o Anti-Trust Compliance
What will I need to have?
1. Highly experienced, UK-qualified lawyer or compliance professional accustomed to managing challenging compliance issues in a complex multinational group.
2. A proven track record in the compliance field for circa 8 years.
3. Excellent ability to gather, organize, and analyze information to develop appropriate options and actions.
4. Commitment to the highest ethical and compliance standards.
5. Ability to work independently and accept ownership of issues, whilst also being part of a collaborative team with the goal of establishing a best-in-class compliance programme.
