Core subject (Maths, English, or Science) SEN / SEND Tutors for Young People with SEND, SEMH, and other Additional Educational Needs required in Warwickshire.
Multiple positions are available and hiring is ongoing to meet the wide variety of needs we support. Our mission is to transform the quality of education provided to young people with SEN / SEND and other needs such as SEMH. We support children with MLD and SLD and are looking for tutors with a passion for transforming the lives of disengaged, at-risk, and vulnerable learners in Warwickshire.
At Targeted Provision we aim to raise the standard of educational support for vulnerable young people in the UK. You will be supported throughout placement by our team of SEN / SEND Support Specialists. This role is ideal for qualified SEN / SEND teachers who prefer 1:1 tutoring with a variety of learning needs in a creative, flexible, holistic, and trauma-informed setting.
The SEN / SEND Tutor role
* Provide Maths, English, or Science tuition to young people with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, or other Additional Educational Needs referred to Targeted Provision
* Young people are referred by local authorities and schools and require support in their educational and social-emotional journey
* Deliver flexible, holistic, trauma-informed tutoring and mentoring
SEN / SEND Tutor tasks and responsibilities
* Plan each session of teaching / tutoring / mentoring
* Provide holistic and engaging sessions that meet needs and advance educational and social-emotional progress
* Complete lesson reports and provide feedback on progress
SEN / SEND Tutor requirements
* Professional Teaching Qualifications (QTS / QTLS)
* Minimum 2 years teaching experience
* Experience with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, and/or other Additional Educational Needs
* Experience and understanding of safeguarding processes
* Enhanced DBS (assistance available at cost)
* Two professional references
* UK right to work (including remote/online work)
It is a strict requirement to promote health, safety and wellbeing of children and young people and follow safeguarding policies at all times.
Employment Status
* This is a Worker-based engagement with short-term engagements as they arise
* Contract for service and PAYE payment
* No guaranteed hours or expenses coverage
* Our insurance covers the work you do
* Not a self-employed tutoring/teaching position
