Job Summary: The Regional Director of Revenue Management provides strategic leadership and oversight of revenue strategy across multiple markets and regions. This role ensures alignment with corporate initiatives while tailoring revenue strategies to regional market dynamics. The Regional Director partners with sales, marketing, and operations leaders to drive portfolio-wide profitability, optimize distribution channels, and maintain competitive positioning within diverse markets.
Essential Functions and Duties:
1. Lead and oversee revenue strategies for a multi-market regional portfolio, ensuring alignment with corporate commercial strategy.
2. Partner with regional and property-level sales teams to evaluate opportunities, optimize pricing, and assess displacement for group, transient, and catering segments.
3. Oversee inventory allocation controls, RMS system utilization, and dynamic pricing to maximize revenue and profitability.
4. Develop and execute both short- and long-term revenue strategies tailored to regional market conditions.
5. Represent revenue management strategy in regional business reviews, ownership meetings, and client discussions.
6. Provide training, coaching, and mentorship to property and area revenue management leaders.
7. Collaborate with brand managers to refine RMS configurations, validate recommendations, and evaluate reporting for strategic adjustments.
8. Monitor demand patterns, competitor activity, and special events to adapt strategies in real time.
9. Partner with operations leadership to ensure revenue strategy integration with hotel-level decision making.
Required Experience, Education, and Skills:
10. Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Business, or related field, or equivalent experience.
11. 7+ years of progressive experience in revenue management, with at least 3 years in a multi-property or regional oversight role.
12. Proven expertise in RMS, PMS, and distribution channel optimization.
13. Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence, develop, and mentor Team Members across diverse markets.
14. Exceptional analytical and strategic thinking skills, including proficiency in displacement, demand analysis, and pricing strategies.
15. Strong communication and collaboration skills, with experience presenting strategies to senior leadership and ownership groups.
16. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
17. Knowledge of hotel operations and financial performance metrics to guide decision-making.
Work Environment:
18. Primarily works in an office environment, with frequent use of computers for data analysis and RMS system management.
19. May require occasional travel to properties within the assigned portfolio for strategy alignment and operational meetings.
20. Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines, often under tight timelines.
21. Flexibility to work extended hours as needed to accommodate business needs and market conditions.
