The hourly rate for this role is £12.69 and up to £14.05 across selected locations within London.

Exceptional patient-centred care is at the heart of everything we do. As a Pharmacy Dispenser, you’ll be part of helping patients feel good. It’s everything from the clear advice and care you offer them, to the wide ranges of dispensing services we provide.
To provide fantastic patient care as a Pharmacy Dispenser, you will work across the healthcare counter and the dispensary to meet patients' needs. This role offers a great opportunity to develop your pharmacy career and make a difference in patients' lives.
What you’ll be doing day to day
It’s all about providing health advice through focused conversations with our patients, offering clear and accurate answers.
Your duties will include:
1. Tailoring conversations with each customer to ensure they leave feeling informed and confident about their healthcare needs.
2. Delivering the technical aspects of the dispensary, ensuring the safe supply of medicines, including ordering medicines, labelling, dispensing, endorsing, and collecting prescriptions.
3. Complying with legal and professional requirements and guidance on professional practice in Boots.
4. Engaging with GPs and practice teams to promote services and items.
5. Ensuring efficient dispensary operations and minimizing dispensing losses.
What you’ll need to have
We offer an exciting career opportunity to continue your professional journey. You will need an NVQ Level 2 equivalent in Pharmacy Services and experience as a Pharmacy Dispenser.
To work within our dispensaries, you should have completed a Medicines Counter Assistant (NVQ2) qualification or equivalent. If not, we will support your development to complete our training within 6 months of joining.
If interested in further developing your career, we can support you towards achieving NVQ Level 3 (QCF) in Pharmacy Services to register with the GPHC as a Pharmacy Technician. This could lead to an Accuracy Checking Pharmacy Technician (ACPT) role. As you progress, your pay and benefits will reflect your development.
