WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR RBSL is looking for a Commercial Officer to join our busy team in Telford. The Commercial Officer is responsible for managing and overseeing all commercial aspects of contracts within RBSL. This role involves ensuring compliance with contractual terms, supporting the negotiation of agreements, and supporting project teams to achieve business objectives. You will work closely with various functions including Legal, Finance, and Project Management to mitigate risks and maximise profitability. The Commercial Officer shall assist in devising commercial solutions to customer requirements that maximise the business benefits whilst understanding the level of risk being taken. Responsibilities: Assisting in the review of, drafting, negotiation and finalisation of bids, proposals and contracts / commercial agreements Ensuring that the contract requirements and obligations are clear and unambiguous for both the company and the customer and are reflected in the contract Pursue to a successful outcome the generation, submission and negotiation of proposals in highly competitive markets Assisting by the provision of advice and guidance to the project management community to allow compliance with all aspects of the Business Management System including the correct application and tailoring of the LCM framework Generation of Commercial Life Cycle Management (LCM) deliverables in accordance with company protocol, ensuring compliance with all Business and functional processes and systems Responsible for obtaining requisite approvals to create and release proposals including pricing aspects Development and maintenance of good customer relationships Assist negotiation for Customer facing contractual negotiations for specific Programmes Managing customer expectations in terms of requirement and affordability Creation, negotiation and agreement of a wide range of Non-Disclosure, Partnership, Teaming and other agreements with external Customers and Partners Deputise for more senior members of Commercial, as may occasionally be required Understanding of the impact of aspects of the law that affect activities of the commercial function and taking appropriate actions Complete key SAP transactions - sales enquiries, sales contracts, and sales orders Adhere to SHE obligations and standard business working instructions contained in the Business Management System (BMS) Quality Assurance - Perform all work/tasks in accordance with project/functional requirements and to the standards prescribed in supporting technical documentation. Proactively seek opportunities for continuous improvement and support quality assurance activities and improvement initiatives deployed by the business.
