Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dental Nurse to join our dynamic family-run dental hygiene practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care while assisting the dental team in delivering high-quality services. This position requires strong communication skills, organisational abilities, and proficiency in IT systems to ensure smooth operations within the practice.

What we are looking for from you:
* GDC registration essential
* Nursing experience required, however, what matters most is enthusiasm, reliability, and a passion for your role
* Hard working and professional - whilst being friendly and caring with staff and patients.
* A true team player who is happy to help across clinical and front-of-house duties
* Comfortable with reception/admin tasks, including answering phones, making appointments, and helping to create a seamless patient journey
* Radiography qualified would be a bonus, but not essential
Duties
* Assist the hygienist/therapist during various dental procedures, ensuring all instruments and materials are prepared and available.
* Provide excellent patient care by a professional attitude and fabulous aspirating skills, reassuring patients, explaining procedures, and addressing any concerns they may have.
* Maintain accurate patient records and update information as necessary using the practice's IT systems.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including infection control protocols.
* Manage appointment scheduling and follow-up communications with patients to enhance their experience.
* Assist in the sterilisation of instruments and maintain a clean and organised work environment.
* Collaborate effectively with other team members to ensure seamless workflow within the practice.
Experience
* Previous experience as a Dental Nurse is essential, and a strong willingness to learn new procedures is crucial.
* Demonstrated ability to provide patient care with empathy and professionalism.
* Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with patients and colleagues.
* Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently within a fast-paced environment.
* Proficiency in IT systems relevant to dental practice management is essential.
