About Deputy Head Greenkeeper role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join the team and work along side other greenkeepers, under the Head Greenkeeper.
The successful candidate will be an integral part of the team and be involved in the day to day presentation of the golf course.
The individual will effectively carry out day-to-day duties whilst looking to improve and achieve high standards. We are looking for a passionate, proud and committed candidate to help drive our golf course forward.
Duties
* Maintain the health and appearance of grass, plants, trees, and shrubs through regular mowing, trimming, and pruning.
* Operate and maintain various gardening equipment such as mowers, trimmers, and blowers.
* Monitor plant health and identify any pests or diseases, implementing appropriate treatment measures.
* Ensure that all areas are kept clean and tidy, including pathways, flowerbeds, and recreational areas.
* Assist in the planning and planting of seasonal flowers and landscaping projects.
* Conduct regular inspections of grounds to ensure safety standards are met.
* Collaborate with other team members to complete tasks efficiently and effectively.
Requirements
* Knowledge of irrigation system
* Good understanding of Golf
* Competent and knowledgeable of all Green keeping practices.
* Strong attention to detail with a commitment to high-quality work.
* Physical fitness to perform manual tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
* A valid driving license is advantageous for transportation purposes.
* A willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
* N .V .Q .2 in green keeping or equivalent
* P A1,PA2 and PA6 spraying certificates
* Chainsaw certificate's beneficial
