I am currently representing Slough Council, who are offering an initial temporary contract for a period of 3-6 months with a view to be extended or offered a permanent position for the right candidate at a rate which is negotiable dependent upon experience
We are looking for a Project Manager this role will be: SL1 2EJ Hybrid
The right candidate will:
This role will be accountable for managing projects which contribute to the delivery of SBC’s strategic aims and derive from the Transformation Programme.
This role will specifically work with the Housing Directorate with the current priority project being to procure and implement a Choice Based Lettings solution.
* Lead the robust definition, delivery, and handover of projects that form part the SBC Corporate Plan / Transformation Programme, within costs and with full benefit realisation.
* Guide delivery teams on projects to support the delivery of the Corporate Plan / Transformation Programme.
* Support the reporting honestly and transparently to CLT, Members and Transformation Board, which includes the DLUHC appointed commissioners.
* Support the delivery of a Choice Based Lettings solution in collaboration with Slough’s Housing Department and corporate DDaT colleagues. Lead on the procurement and implementation of the solution and its successful embedding into Business As Usual.
* As a proficient expert with good management skills, this role will work collaboratively with managers to define and raise the standards for project management and build a culture willing to embrace learning.
* Responsible for conducting robust evaluations throughout the project lifecycle to ensure projects align to the original business case and meet agreed milestones. In addition, reviewing progress with stakeholders and conduct a review of lessons learnt.
We require the following:
* Essential to be qualified in Project Management (such as APMP or Prince2 or P3O or MSP) or be able to evidence more than 3 years’ experience in complex organisation(s).
* Experience in delivering a Choice Based Lettings solution for a public sector partner – understanding of the procurement and implementation processes required for such a solution, and knowledge of the Housing processes.
