Role overview
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Operations Manager to join our growing team. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the end-to-end operational processes across both the UK and China. You will report directly to the Company Director and play a key part in driving our continued success.
Key Responsibilities
· Team Leadership: Lead and motivate operations teams in the UK and China to ensure seamless customer acquisition, service fulfilment and customer care.
· Operational Efficiency: Develop and refine operational strategies to enhance service quality, streamline processes, and improve overall efficiency.
· Revenue Growth: Collaborate with IT and Sales teams to expand logistics services within assigned territories, contributing directly to revenue and growth targets.
· Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain relationships with carriers, couriers, and third-party providers, negotiating competitive rates and service levels.
· Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for enhancement and spearhead projects to upgrade operational practices, including system automation.
· Performance Tracking: Monitor KPIs and generate regular performance reports for senior management, ensuring data-driven decision-making.
Person Specification
· Experience Required: A proven track record in operations (minimum 3 years), ideally within logistics, supply chain, or eCommerce.
· Language Skills: Fluency in English and Mandarin (spoken), plus proficiency in written Chinese, is essential.
· Leadership & Organization: Proven ability to lead teams effectively while managing multiple priorities.
· Problem-Solving: Demonstrates a detail-oriented approach and a track record of tackling complex operational challenges.
· Communication: Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration and negotiation.
· Commercial Awareness: Ability to identify and develop new business opportunities in line with market needs and company objectives.
· Adaptability: Resilient and self-motivated, capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment.
