Dalkia UK are looking for an experienced Project Manager to join one of our Energy Research Centres in the Abingdon, Oxford area.
The Project Manager will be responsible for delivering projects, contract variations, lifecycle works and will have full responsibility for ensuring project works are fully scoped and delivered on time. They will have responsibility for achieving budgeted margin for their business area. They will work closely with Operations Managers and Facilities Managers to identify opportunities for additional project works.
Job Specification;
1. Working across the business as required, delivering projects to a high standard, ensuring compliance with our contracts and company procedures.
2. Ensure key performance indicators are met for both client communication and project delivery
3. Liaising with clients, customers and internal management in order to identify opportunities for business growth.
4. Report weekly to the Snr Project Manager on opportunities, cost submissions, works completed.
5. Working with the Quantity Surveyor, ensure cost plans are followed, margin is achieved and ensure costs control measures are adhered to.
6. Deliver Principal Contractor services to clients. Ensuring full compliance with CDM Regulations
7. Ensure all works delivered are compliant with all applicable statutory standards, legislative requirements and other regulations/guidance as applicable to the nature of the estate.
8. Ensure all site specific Health & Safety regulations are monitored and adhered to, company policy is followed and undertake investigations into failings where necessary
9. Comply with client contract and procurement policies where appropriate
10. Provide regular reports in alignment with the contract reporting requirements
11. Undertake any other reasonable duties as requested by your line manager.
Person Specification;
12. Ability to think strategically and commercially
13. Ability to manage small to medium sized projects up to £3m
14. Experienced in managing and developing a small team
15. Experience of delivering services within a educational and engineering sector
16. Excellent stakeholder management skills
17. Flexible approach to working as part of a team
18. Excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise a challenging workload
19. Excellent communication skills
20. Proficient in IT systems and software applications
Desired Experience Profile;
21. Knowledge and experience of working to current CDM regulations and Principal Contractor role
22. Awareness of asbestos, legionella and fire safety regulations
23. Project Management of projects up to a value of £3m
24. Technical report writing experience
25. Experience in managing a portfolio of sites, preferably within the PFI environment
26. Excellent technical knowledge of building services & associated systems
27. SMSTS
Essential Qualifications;
28. CIOB or equivalent in Construction Management
29. HNC / HND / Degree or above in construction or a building services discipline or time served experience at this level
Desired Qualifications;
30. CIBSE membership
31. Recognised H&S qualification such as SMSTS or IOSH
